President Barack Obama, lamenting "a horrific outburst of violence" in the killings today of at least a dozen soldiers and the wounding of more than 30 other people " at Fort Hood Army Base in Texas, promised to "stay on this."Well, this is good news. Now that the president is suitably 'horrified" by such "outbursts of violence," this must mean he will view the exponentially greater "outbursts of violence" unleashed by his military on Afghani and Pakistani civilians in a new light.
